Fleet Landing is seeking an experienced, hands-on Human Resources professional who is ready to broaden their expertise and take the next step in their career.

As Assistant Human Resources Manager, you will lead recruitment for assigned departments while gaining meaningful experience across employee relations, leave administration, compliance, employee engagement, and HR operations. You’ll work closely with employees and leaders throughout the organization and help create an exceptional workplace experience for those who serve our residents.

Your Opportunity

The Assistant Human Resources Manager partners closely with the Human Resources Manager to support the day-to-day HR needs of Fleet Landing Atlantic Beach. This position serves as a trusted and accessible resource for employees and leaders while helping ensure consistent, responsive, and compliant HR practices.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as a professional, responsive, and trusted HR resource for employees and leaders.
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for assigned departments, from sourcing and interviewing through selection and onboarding.
  • Develop creative sourcing strategies and cultivate strong candidate pipelines.
  • Monitor recruitment metrics, vacancy trends, and candidate flow and provide data-informed recommendations.
  • Support employee relations matters, including workplace investigations, documentation, conflict resolution, and corrective action.
  • Guide managers on policy interpretation, performance management, coaching, and disciplinary procedures.
  • Partner with the Human Resources Manager in administering FMLA, ADA accommodations, and other protected leave programs.
  • Help plan and execute employee engagement and recognition initiatives.
  • Facilitate portions of New Hire Orientation and support an engaging onboarding experience.
  • Lead or contribute to HR projects involving research, analysis, communication, and implementation.
  • Maintain accurate employee information and onboarding documentation within the HRIS.
  • Partner with Payroll to ensure employment changes are processed accurately and on time.
  • Help promote a positive, inclusive, and compliant workplace culture aligned with Fleet Landing’s mission and values.

What You’ll Bring

  • Three to five years of progressive Human Resources experience, including meaningful responsibility for recruitment and employee relations.
  • Working knowledge of employment practices and regulations, including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEOC requirements, and workers’ compensation.
  • Experience working with HRIS and applicant tracking systems.
  • Strong judgment, discretion, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities while remaining responsive and approachable.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification is preferred.
