The Safety and Security Assistant Manager will be a hands-on supervisor overseeing the day to day functions of our Safety and Security team. This role plays a vital role in fostering a positive, productive workplace culture aligned with Fleet Landing’s mission and values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assists the Department Manager in reviewing and implementing Fleet Landing's Safety and Security Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Supervises the daily operations of the Safety and Security Department to ensure compliance with directives and established procedures.
  • Ensures all incidents of safety and security breaches/incidents are documented, investigated, and reported to the Department Manager.
  • Maintains a professional and supportive working relationship with all departments
  • Develops, implements, and supervises the training program for new members of the department.
  • Leads the training of the access control system.
  • Monitors the Personal Emergency Response System (PERS) to ensure proper operation and timely response to resident emergency calls.
  • Adjusts the duty schedule to meet the requirements of proper and consistent supervision
 

Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of courses in Safety and Security are preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge low-voltage safety systems in order to troubleshoot alarm signals, emergency call systems, and basic PERS-related issues.
  • Current CPR or the ability to complete CPR within 30 days of hire.
  • Valid Florida Driver's License.
