Your Opportunity
The Human Resources Assistant Manager leads the full-cycle recruitment function while supporting key Human Resources operations. This role plays a vital part in attracting and retaining top talent, supporting employee relations, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining accurate employee records, and fostering a positive, productive workplace culture aligned with Fleet Landing’s mission and values.

The Human Resources Assistant Manager position at Fleet Landing Atlantic Beach is a strategic stepping stone toward future leadership.
As Fleet Landing expands, we anticipate a promotion opportunity for a high-performing team member to step into the Human Resources Manager role at our new Fleet Landing Nocatee community opening in 2027.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a professional, responsive resource for employees and leaders.
  • Lead and manage the full-cycle recruitment process for assigned departments.
  • Develop and execute effective sourcing strategies to attract qualified candidates.
  • Monitor recruitment metrics including time-to-fill, vacancy trends, and candidate flow; prepare reports and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Assist in planning and executing employee engagement initiatives and recognition events that support morale and retention.
  • Respond to employee relations matters, conduct investigations as appropriate, document findings, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Advise managers on policy interpretation, performance management, coaching, and disciplinary procedures.
  • Support conflict resolution efforts and promote a positive, compliant workplace culture.
  • Assist with facilitation of New Hire Orientation as needed.
  • Lead or participate in HR-related projects requiring research, analysis, and implementation.
  • Partner with the Human Resources Manager to administer and oversee FMLA and other protected leave programs in compliance with federal, state, and company policies.
  • Enter new hires into the HRIS system and ensure onboarding documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Partner with Payroll to ensure timely and accurate processing of employment changes.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 3–5 years of progressive Human Resources experience with significant recruitment responsibility.
  • Demonstrated experience handling employee relations matters and leave administration.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEOC, and workers’ compensation regulations.
  • Experience with HRIS and applicant tracking systems required.
  • Professional certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred.
