We are seeking a Medication Technician, Every Weekend [Full-Time] whose primary responsibility is to assist with administration of scheduled medication, provide personalized care and services to our Residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Follow the six rights of medication administration.
  • Assist with medications for Residents according to their Medication Observation Record (MOR).
  • Document clearly and accurately one Medication Observation Record (MOR) after the medication is taken, given, refused, held, discontinued, changed, disposed of, or returned.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, organized medication cart/cabinet, and restock the cart/cabinet as needed
  • Assist Residents in meeting their physical, emotional, spiritual, and medical needs to achieve and maintain their highest level of wellness.
  • Explain to the Resident what medication is being given and why, prior to assisting with the medication.
  • Observe the Resident for any adverse reaction to a medication and report it to the nurse or supervisor immediately.
 
Qualifications:
 
Minimum Education Required:
Successful completion of a six (6) hour medication Technician training and two (2) hour continuous training annually. Possess a valid current CPR certification.
 
Experience:
Minimum of 6 months, preferred.
