Fleet Landing currently has over 140 healthcare beds including a post-acute unit, long-term care, assisted living, and memory care. Our latest expansion, Beacon Pointe at Fleet Landing, will bring 128 new Independent Living Residences including 30 new skilled nursing beds, and 38 new assisted living to our thriving community!
Fleet Landing is seeking an experienced Nutritional Services Coordinator who is responsible for ensuring high quality clinical nutritional services care to Residents within the continuing care community. Train and help retain a team of qualified, high performing individuals to deliver a WellInspired approach and Resident focused nutritional services program. Collaborate with culinary & dining departments to ensure nutritionally balanced, professionally prepared and properly served meals are consistently delivered in a dignified and gracious manner. The Nutritional Services Coordinator will ensure we are maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness, sanitation and infection control as set forth by AHCA and CDC guidelines by conducting routine audits of our culinary and dining services operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and training to nutritional services team members.
  • Lead monthly departmental in-services to provide education to staff.
  • Conduct tray line service inspections, including test trays, monthly in health services to ensure meals are prepared according to cycle menu planning.
  • Conduct new admission assessments using validated malnutrition screening tools to determine acuity level of newly admitted Residents.
  • Create standard care plans for Residents in health services, i.e. skilled nursing and long-term care.
  • Attend Resident care plan meetings for SNF and long-term care Residents.
  • Enter Resident data into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), including Minimum Data Set (MDS) for all required assessments.
  • Review new admission and discharge reports for health services.
  • Create and manage health services employee schedules, including Dietary Aides and Culinary Services Attendants.
Credentials: Certified Dietary Manager, Certified Food Protection Professional (CDM®, CFPP®), strongly preferred.
Minimum Education:
BS degree in Dietary/Food Science is desirable. Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in    institutional food production is required. Supervisory experience is desirable. Experience performing the essential functions of the position is desirable. 
Two years’ experience in food-service management within a long-term care setting.
